We haven’t always had the nutrition habits we do now. Late-night Taco Bell runs, fast-food breakfasts, pizza deliveries, and ice cream stops were the norm.

That changed in 2015 when we got serious about fitness and started powerlifting. Our coach gave us macro-based diets, and as long as food fit our macros, we ate it—quality didn’t matter. We got leaner, stronger, and lost weight, but inside? We weren’t truly healthy. Digestive issues, poor recovery, and stress took their toll.

Fast forward to 2020—two months into CrossFit, we joined a “5 Ingredients or Less” challenge. For the first time, we read food labels, and the results were immediate: Karly’s digestive issues cleared up, and Tom felt more energized. We were onto something.

Then, Karly was diagnosed with Celiac disease. We cut gluten but kept eating fast food and ultra-processed foods, thinking we were doing enough. Injuries persisted, inflammation remained high, and our health metrics were concerning. Like many, we just kept doing what we were doing, assuming we’d get medical care when we needed it. What else was there to do?

The past two years of owning CrossFit 605 have been life-changing—not just for helping others but for transforming our own health. We’ve learned how to fuel properly, prioritize whole foods, and scrutinize every ingredient we consume.

The impact? Our bloodwork has never been better. We recover faster, feel stronger, and rarely get sick. More importantly, we’ve taken back control of our health—just by being informed eaters.

With over 10 years of experience in strength coaching, fitness, and nutrition, Karly is passionate about helping others find sustainable, personalized ways to eat and live that align with their goals.

As a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach and WAG Certified Nutrition Coach, Karly combines her experience in nutrition with a commitment to CrossFit coaching, where she also competes.

Karly’s journey in fitness began with USA Powerlifting, where she focused on macro tracking to improve strength and performance. Today, her approach has shifted toward intuitive eating, prioritizing whole, nutrient-dense foods with minimal ingredients to support overall health and vitality. This shift became even more personal in 2020 when she was diagnosed with Celiac disease, deepening her understanding of how nutrition impacts health on a daily basis.

As the owner of CrossFit 605, Karly brings her personal experiences and professional knowledge to help you thrive—whether you're focused on CrossFit, nutrition, or both. With over a decade of experience in strength training, fitness coaching, and nutrition, Tom has dedicated his life to helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. As a competitor in USA Powerlifting, he focused on macro tracking to build strength and reduce body fat.

Today, Tom’s approach revolves around fueling his body for optimal performance and helping others transform their lives through CrossFit 605. As the owner of the gym, he combines his passion for CrossFit coaching with a deep commitment to nutrition coaching. His journey took a personal turn in 2020 when his wife, Karly, was diagnosed with Celiac disease. This experience has ignited Tom’s passion for teaching others how to eat well for life—focusing on sustainable, holistic nutrition for overall well-being.

This journey ignited his passion for helping others achieve lasting health through sustainable nutrition and "deep health" principles. He now applies his knowledge and passion to guide others in creating sustainable, healthy habits. Zach's focus on proper nutrition and "deep health" provides clients with practical tools and strategies to reach their goals and cultivate lasting wellness.
